My brother joined the cycle tour La Marmotte. His girlfriend and me decided we should go to the finish line, on the Alp D’Huez, and wait for him. A good excuse for a roadtrip. We left around five in the afternoon, drove all night, and arrived at the top of the alp around seven in the morning. After getting our hotelroom, we relaxed a bit, and moved to the last bend before the finish. We brought a parasol, seats, drinks and food. We had a long day waiting ahead us, right in the burning sun, it was more then 30 degrees.
When my brother came up the mountain, he was blown away, he really didn’t expect us. After he finished we celebrated with a bbq at his hotel. A great end of a great day. Don’t chear to soon….we had to drive up the dark Alps in the middle of the night. But we made it. In the morning we headed back home again. Following the car of my brother.
